The Training Source

Founded in 1993, The Training Source, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to workforce development, youth programs, family support services, and professional training. To better serve its mission, the organization required a complete interior renovation, transforming a formerly fragmented 3,600-square-foot space—originally three separate suites—into a cohesive and functional office environment.

After collaborating with the Neighborhood Design Center (NDC) on initial conceptual layouts, The Training Source engaged POM Studios to lead the design development. The renovation modernizes the space with a focus on sustainability, incorporating energy-efficient systems, water-saving fixtures, and environmentally responsible materials. A reimagined reception area establishes a strong identity for the organization, while exposed, accented ceilings guide visitors through the corridor to expansive training labs—the core of the program. The office areas were redesigned with glass walls and doors, enhancing transparency, connectivity, and access to natural light, creating a contemporary and dynamic work environment.
