Deep Roots Event Barn

This project envisions a newly constructed event barn at Deep Root Farm, blending the traditional form of a tobacco barn with contemporary design elements. Designed for both functionality and community engagement, the barn serves as a multi-purpose space that supports the farm’s agricultural and social activities.

The first floor features an open gathering area and a demonstration kitchen, creating a dynamic space for farm-to-table events, workshops, and communal dining. Above, the upper level provides sleeping quarters for farm workers, offering a comfortable retreat integrated into the working landscape. At the east end, a dedicated area accommodates farm vehicles and equipment, ensuring seamless operational flow.

Outdoor spaces are designed to embrace views of the surrounding fruit orchard, reinforcing the connection between built form and natural landscape. The resulting design balances rustic agrarian charm with modern efficiency, enhancing both the farm’s functionality and its role as a gathering place for the community.
